I'm making a book for my boyfriend to give him on our one year anniversary. It's an 8x8 spiralbound book with a plain brown front, and I cannot figure out what on earth to put on the cover! Any suggestions?

So I finally got around to working on an art journal, and I'm filling a nice, large journal at the moment. (I think it's like, 12''x8''? I dunno, it's a guesstimate.) I have a lot of decent magazine clippings, but here's the problem: I can't seem to find the right quotes/lyrics/etc. to post onto the pages to go alongside them.

Does anyone else do this? When I look at journals here, or just in general, I see people's handwriting and it seems so much better than mine and I try and emulate (immulate?) it. Does anyone else do this?

Does anyone here keep (or has anyone ever have kept) their journal in a binder? If so, I would really like to see it. I'm thinking of having my next journal in a binder but I am not exactly sure how I would like to execute that idea-- what kind of papers I would want to use, etc ( Read more... )

back in the day when i used to text journal only, i had no problem with rambling on and on about my day and other mindless thoughts. since i began art journaling at the beginning of the year, the amount of writing i do has dwindled down to almost none at all, especially since i've gotten better at the "art" part of journaling. nothing seems good ( Read more... )
